Kent Water Purifier

Kent Water Purifiers are widely accepted in India. Though Kent is the leading brand of RO water purifiers in India all Kent Water Purifier users do not need a RO Water Purifier. For that reason, Kent has designed some excellent UV Water Purifier models. Kent has recently introduced a fresh model of UV + UF water purifier with the model name of Kent Pristine UV. I will try to make it easy to take the right decision in selecting one of the two models between Kent Maxx & Kent Pristine UV.

Similarities in Kent Maxx & Kent Pristine UV

If you carefully go through the above table you will understand the following facts:

  • Both Kent Maxx & Kent Pristine contains sediment filter and activated carbon. There are no differences in the quality, size, or cost of these filters. So, filter wise there is no difference in these two models of Kent UV Water Purifiers.
  • The same size & wattage of the 11W UV lamp is used in both models. So, both the models have the same antimicrobial efficiency.
  • UF membrane is one of the most important components of these water purifiers. With a pore size of 0.1 microns, the UF membrane helps in filtering out many impurities and microbes from water that are larger than 0.1 microns. The best thing is that in both models the same UF membrane is used.
  • Computer Control is a microprocessor-based electronic device. Which provides various delays which are very important in the purification of drinking water. Firstly, this gives UV stabilization so that the best effect of UV-C can be obtained. Secondly, this gives a purification delay time. In addition, this device sounds a failure alarm. Which indicates the UV failure and filter change alarm. UV fail and Filter Change alarm is different and you can understand which type of alarm your product is sounding.
  • Storage Tank – Kent Maxx has a purified storage tank of 7 Litres whereas Kent Pristine UV has a tank capacity of 8 Litres.

My Opinion on Kent Maxx & Kent Pristine UV

I have tried to keep it short and simple. If you have watched my video or this article then you are now confident that the only difference between these two models is the storage capacity. Kent Maxx has a storage capacity of 7 liters whereas Kent Pristine UV has a storage of 8 Litres.

So, you can store 1 extra liter of purified water if you purchase Kent Pristine. But I was checking the price of these two models. I found that Kent Maxx will cost you around ₹ 8,000/- and the price of Kent Pristine UV will be something around ₹ 10,000/-.

In my opinion, it doesn’t make sense to pay an extra ₹ 2,000/- to stock 1 liter of purified water. If you don’t get Kent Pristine UV for a price of around ₹ 8,000/- it is better to buy Kent Maxx, because there is hardly any difference between these two models.
